What is the TSWGA? Texas Senior Women’s Golf Association

The TSWGA is an organization made up of amateur women golfers 50 years of age or older who are legal
residents of Texas and female at birth. It is made up of Women’s Golf Associations. Individual women
can be sponsored by a member, or a member association in good standing with the TSWGA with Board
approval.
TSWGA’s mission is to administrate the TSWGA Match Play Championship Tournament that is held once
a year at rotating Texas venues in late April through early May. Therefore, the women’s associations
and individuals shall be members of a Country Club or golf facility that can host the Tournament per
guidelines in the TSWGA by-laws.


Purpose: To promote friendship and maintain the best interest of golf among the senior women of
Texas.


Format: An annual Match Play Tournament of up to 144 players.
Member organization dues: $50.00 per year. Due October 31.
Sponsored individuals: $50.00 per year. Due by October 31
Individual Tournament Eligibility:

Organizations or individuals must be a member of the TSWGA in good standing.
Individual participant minimum age – 50 by tournament date

U.S.G.A. Handicap index maximum - 30.4
Legal resident of Texas for at least 6 months, Amateur Status and Female at Birth.


Annual Tournament:
Match Play
Late April or early May – Sunday through Thursday or Friday
Entry fee varies per year and includes:
Practice round/cart fee, green fee, for all rounds
Welcome party, Banquet, Awards, Snacks, tee gift, Club storage.
